What is your 2010 IR/PR Plan?

Traditionally, September and October have been challenging months for the stock markets. During November and December, investors adjust their portfolios to reflect the companies they want to be holding going into the new year. Many use this time to research new investments to make for the new year.

Recognizing this pattern, Target 3 is extending a special offer to forward-thinking public companies who want new investors early in 2010. Our unique Wall Street VIPs service uses webinar technology to provide virtual investor presentations – so you can introduct yourself to 25-50 new investors for an hour; afterwards, you can schedule one-on-one meetings with those who say they want to invest. All VIPs scheduled to take place in November and December will be offered at 33% off the normal price. Contact Jerry for details – jerry@target3.com or 646-290-7664.

What Did Your Company Learn from the Recession?

One of the most amazing things about so many business presentations today, is how they ignore the fact that they came through a recession, which reflects not just a down-turn in business but some fundamental changes in the way business is going to be done. Retail consumers know that every company, from giant Walmart to the local candy store, has been impacted upon by the recession and has adjusted its sales, marketing, operations, R&D or other relevant programs. They know they have made strategic operational changes in their life styles. Yet, too many public companies treat the last 18 months as simply a "speed bump" they’re passing over, where they made tactical changes (like firing people to keep expenses in line with declining revenues), rather than strategic ones.

Investors buy into companies based on their belief that management understands what it needs to do in the future to produce the desired profitable results. Ignoring a full discussion on how your company has made strategic changes in sales, marketing, product line, target consumers, etc, creates a glaring negative impression for many investors. So, make sure your presentation discloses what you learned from the recession and how you will use these lessons in the future.
